Baby Wipes Clearance at Target!

I made a quick run to Target this afternoon to return something and came across a huge clearance on Huggies & Pampers baby wipes!

The Huggies wipes were marked down to $2.03.

- used $.50 off 1 wipes coupon from my home mailer

Final Price: $1.53 - $.02/wipe (even with Costco's Kirkland Signature price)

The Pampers Sensitive Thick Care wipes were marked down to $1.67.

- used $.50/1 coupon from the last P&G coupon insert

Final Price: $1.17 - $.019/wipe, cheaper than Costco!

If you don't have any coupons then this is not really a good deal unless you don't have a Costco membership. This deal could get sweeter if you have higher value coupons too!

Speaking of P&G coupon inserts, this coming weekend (4/3) there will be a new P&G insert in the Sunday paper and that insert will have a $1 off any Kandoo product coupon next to the Pampers coupons!

You can take that coupon with you to Target next time and get a pack of Kandoo wipes for only $.65!

Pampers Kandoo Flushable Wipes - $1.65

- use $1 off coupon

Final Price: $.65!

(These are great to carry around in your purse if you have a toddler. I have had many potty-training while out and about instances where they have come in SO handy!)

I also noticed a few big boxes of Huggies size 1 and 2 diapers on clearance for $30.00. If you need diapers right now you may want to check it out and take along the $3.00 off 1 Huggies Diapers printable from Coupons.com to get a big value box for around $27. I am kicking myself for not looking to see the count on these but since I don't buy Huggies usually I didn't think about it!

*Please note: Your milage will vary by store, I would not make a special trip to Target just for clearance items as not all stores will have the same items on clearance. If you are already headed there, take a look on the aisle end caps and you may be surprised to find the same thing!

It's Back! 1/2 off Imagine Children's Museum!

Last year when Savvy Savings and Scholarships first debuted they had a great offering for 1/2 off a membership to Imagine Children's Museum up in Everett. I have regretted not buying that membership every time I have gone there since and I am SO glad that the deal is back! As you can see from the photo below, my daughter has had so much fun every time she has gone there, and we still haven't done everything there is to do there!

The deal will last for the next couple of days but could sell out so if you do want to buy it, do it soon! $38 will get you, your spouse and as many children as you have a year long membership. This is a great deal as admission per person is $7.75 so a family of four costs $31 just for 1 admission which means that your membership will pay for itself in just 2 trips!

Go HERE to sign up now and get your membership! 5% of your purchase will go to the preschool of your choice as well!

*Unfortunately existing members do not qualify for this deal.

My Shopping Trip Today

I was pretty proud of my shopping trips to Walmart & Fred Meyer today so I thought I would do a little bragger post and show you all a picture of my "loot"!

My first stop was Walmart for just a couple of items that I had coupons for. I don't go to Walmart very often because it is so far away from my house. Since I was planning to go to Fred Meyer anyway I figured that I might as well drive the extra distance to get the few things I wanted!

My Purchase:
1 6pk White Cloud Toilet Paper (Double Roll) - $2.00
1 pack of Gain Dryer Sheets, 40 ct. - $1.89
1 pack of Starkist Tuna - $.78
Subtotal before coupons: $4.67
- used $1.00 off White Cloud TP from Feb. All You Magazine.
- used $.50 off Starkist Pouch product coupon
- used $3.00 off Gain Fabric Sheets coupon (Walmart gives OVERAGE on coupons now!)
Final Price out of pocket: $.15 + tax! Basically the overage from the Gain paid for the rest of my stuff!

Fred Meyer:
I posted some great deals for Fred Meyer this week this morning HERE and I ended up getting all of those things so I won't break them down again, but I did grab a couple of other items as well.

Philadelphia Cooking Creme - $2.50
Bag of Foster Farms Chicken Breasts - Clearance price for $9.95
- used coupon for free Cooking Greme from Kraft First Taste (-$2.50)
- used peelie coupon for $1.50 off chicken breasts wyb cooking creme (-$1.50)
Final Cost for 4.5 lbs of chicken and Philadelphia Cooking Creme: $8.45

Tropicana OJ - $2.49
- used $1.00 off coupon
Final Price: $1.49

My total cost for groceries this week was a whopping $39.00!! We will probably go out for dinner one of the nights this week, but other than that we are covered for food for the week and have enough cheese for about 6 months! Plus since I am so well-stocked on butter right now I am definitely going to whip up a batch of these cookies for dessert tonight with our friends!

Jetsetter: Salish Lodge!!

Jetsetter has another amazing deal on a beautiful Seattle area hotel! Stay at the beautiful Salish Lodge & Spa in Snoqualmie for as low as $45!

This would make the perfect overnight getaway for a birthday, anniversary, wedding night or any other special day! They have spa packages, a nice restaurant and Snoqualmie Casino is right near by! I am thinking this sounds like the perfect place for our 5 year anniversary coming up in June!

If you have a Jetsetter account already, just log in and book your night! If don't have an account yet, sign up HERE and you will receive a $25 credit just for signing up! The rate on the special is $120 so you would get this for $95 + taxes and fees!

How do you get it for as low as $45? A couple months back there was a special promotion for an additional $50 credit. Unfortunately it's no longer available but if you were one of the lucky ones to get it then this is a fabulous deal on a super nice "staycation"!

Plus spread the word to your friends, if one of them signs up under your link and buys the deal, you get $25 more in credit!

Fred Meyer: Stock Up on Butter & Cheese!

The Fred Meyer deals are hopin this week! This is a great opportunity to stock up on butter and shredded cheese!

Tillamook 8 oz. Shredded Cheese
- in-ad coupon
Final Price: $1.00 per bag! (Limit 10)

*This is the best price that I ever see this cheese at. It's local, tasty and this is definitely a chance to stock up! You can keep what you need in the fridge and throw the other bags in the freezer!

Challenge Butter, 1 lb - $2.50
- in-ad coupon
Stack with $1.00 off any Challenge product printable HERE
or use $1.00/1 blinkie box coupons found next to the butter!
Final Price: $1.50/lb!

*I have seriously had a hard time finding butter for under $3/lb lately so stock up on butter too! You can freeze what you aren't going to use right away.

A couple of other good deals:

Foster Farms Whole Fryers - $.88/lb

1 lb. Strawberries - $1.50/lb (not organic but this is a great price if you don't mind.)

Organic Braeburn or Cameo Apples - $.88/lb (great price!)

QFC: Cheap Annie's Mac & Cheese!

QFC has an awesome deal on Annie's Mac & Cheese this week! It's part of the buy 10, save $5 instantly promotion.

Annie's Mac & Cheese, select varieties - $.99

Buy 10, Save $5 Promotion (You can Mix & Match with other items!)

Final Price: $.49/box!

This is an awesome deal, I very very rarely see Annie's for less than $1.50/box. I bought 8 boxes today and then got 2 boxes of Ronzoni Smart Taste (also part of the mix & match promo) and used $1.00 off 2 printable coupon to get the pasta for $.49/box too! I have heard reports that there are $.75/2 Annie's coupons at some stores next to the shelf, if you find these, you are a lucky duck and can get them for $.11/box!!

This supply will last us a long time; when something I buy regularly goes on sale at a rock bottom price, I will usually buy at least a 6 month supply, so by the next time the item goes on sale at a rock bottom price, I can stock up again and never end up paying that $1.50/box price!

Also, if you buy organic eggs:
Organic Valley Eggs, 1 dozen - $3.99
- use $.75 off 1 Printable coupon
Final Price: $3.25 for 1 dozen organic eggs.
*I usually buy them at Fred Meyer for $3.49/dozen so anything lower than that I'll take it!

My total today at checkout was $8.14! A 72% savings according to my receipt!

Menu Plan Monday: Week of 3/14

Well I thought I'd try my hand a posting a menu plan for the week on the blog. I've never done it before and I have been having big issues lately with not planning well enough. We have been ending up going out way more than necessary because we either A. have no food or B. I just don't want to cook anything! Maybe if I start posting my dinner menu plan for the week on here then I'll stick to it better. This week is not too hard for planning because we only need to plan out 3 dinners, the others are already taken care of.

Monday, 3/14:
Spaghetti & crock pot meat sauce with salad

Tuesday, 3/15:
Chicken (either teryaki or orange) and home made fried rice with veggies

Wednesday, 3/16:
Homemade artichoke heart & chicken pizza

Thursday, 3/17:
Family in town, out for dinner

Friday - Sunday:
Out of town in Leavenworth, will be eating with family at their homes and will probably use one of our Christmas gift cards to go out one of those nights!
