Target 75% Off Toy Clearance!

Its that time again! Target has a huge portion of their toy section clearance priced at 75% off! Last time I wasn't prepared enough for the sale but this time I went early, knew who I was buying for and got some smokin deals!

Check out what I scored today:

I bought $225 worth of toys for $75! That is a savings of $125!

Some of these toys are items I would have not purchased at full price because of the cost but with this sale I was able to get some really cool, normally pricey toys for my nephews, cousins, friends, baby shower gifts, etc!

I also noticed a large amount of baby items (high chairs, pack & plays, etc.) at a 50% markdown so check the baby areas too for great baby shower gift items!

After this sale, I would say that we are at least 60% done with our 2010 Christmas shopping and at a fraction of the normal costs because of after Christmas and toy clearance sales! I am going to try really hard to use my Swagbucks for Amazon gift cards to pay for the rest of Christmas!

Note: Not every store may be participating in the clearance markdowns so if you live far away from one I recommend calling your store before heading out. Plus I highly recommend you go today as there may not be much left tomorrow. I was playing bumper carts with other deal hunting mamas to get my stuff!

Tip: If it looks like something you may want, put it in your cart! Then before you check out find a corner and go through your cart to pull out anything you may have changed your mind on. Otherwise it may be gone by the time you go back!

Trader Joes: Cheap Basil Plants!

Check out the beautiful basil plant I picked up at Trader Joes this afternoon for only $2! I was super excited to see these so cheap because their usual price is $3.99. This is a FABULE$$ deal on fresh basil! I would recommend calling your store before going just to make sure that the pricing is good at every store.

I whipped up a large batch of my basil pesto sauce for a pasta salad dish that I am making for my grandpa's memorial service reception on Friday so I actually ended up buying two plants just in case one doesn't make it past my harvesting! (For some reason, I am not very good at keeping basil plants alive!) I did just find out though that as long as you keep the bottom two leaves on the stem that it will continue to grow and sprout new stems!

Loss...

Over the past weekend my family suffered a huge loss. My grandpa was a wonderful man and he will be very sorely missed. I pretty much grew up in my grandparents home and will never forget my childhood memories of going to the river every day in the summer and hiking up to the ditch with my grandpa! The photo above is him holding my 9 day old daughter two years ago, it was one of the happiest memories I have along with countless more.

My total before my club card, coupons and catalinas was $49.84 and I paid $17.82 OOP + got a $2.00 Catalina; About 70% savings! Needless to say I am WAY stocked up on ice cream and cereal for a while now!

Healthy Kid's Snacks Printable Coupons!

Mambo Sprouts is one of my favorite places to get coupons for natural and organic products! Right now there are a couple of printables available that are great for kid's snacks!

Go HERE to print $1.00 off 1 box of Clif Twisted Fruit or Z Bars (USDA Organic). You can also get a coupon for Buy 2, Get one free Stretch Island Fruit Co. These are dried fruit leather like my grandma used to make and the only ingredient is fruit! There is also a $.75 off R.W. Knudsen Family organic juice coupon as well.

You should be able to print 2 of each coupon per computer!

There is also a $.50 off 1 printable available for Goldfish Crackers HERE! The whole grain variety is actually pretty tasty and doesn't have HF corn syrup! The coupon will probably go fast though so hurry on that one!

Febreze Home Collection Review {Giveaway}

Febreze has recently released two new products for their Home Collection: The Flameless Luminary and the New No-Spill Wood Diffuser. I recently had the chance to try both of these new products and was very impressed by their look, scent and functionality!

The Flameless Luminary:

"Turn heads with the soft flickering glow of a Flameless Luminary. Once you have a reusable base, changing scents is as easy as changing shades."

These little things are so neat! They are small in size and look like something you would have bought at a home decor store. The shade designs are very modern and pretty plus smell wonderful! Scents come in Cherry Blossom Whimsy, Honeysuckle Orchid, Willow Blossom, Green Tea Citrus, Pomegranate Mango and Cranberry Pear, each with a different shade design and color. The scent fills an entire room in no time! I did have to move it to my dining room away from my coffee table because when you sit right next to it the smell can be a bit overwhelming after a long period of time.

The base has a flickering light so when you have a shade on it looks like there is a candle burning in there but you don't have to freak out when your 2 year old picks it up because it is not hot and there is no risk of fire or spilled wax getting on the rug! The base also is programed to shut off after 4 hours to save battery life and so that you don't need to pick it up and turn off the switch every time.

The No-Spill Wood Diffuser:

"When you live with children and pets, accidents happen. Luckily the No-Spill Diffuser with WoodWick® ambiance makes spills a thing of the past. Good looking and thoughtful, too — it’s exactly what you’ve been looking for."

Oh my how the above statement is true. "Accidents Happen" and when you have small children they happen A LOT! I have been wary of getting a wood diffuser for my house for a while for fear that Naomi will come out of the bathroom covered in pleasantly smelling oil!

I actually put this diffuser with the Honeysuckle Orchid scent in her bedroom! (on her tall dresser where she can't reach it of course!) The smell is very mild so it gives her room a fresh and sunny day kind of feeling which is great for when the batteries on the diaper pail filter go out and we realize we are out of D batteries! (Yes, that really happened!)

I liked this better than traditional diffusers because of the fact that there is no exposed oil and the scent is not overpowering.

Qdoba: Kids Eat Free This Weekend!

As you probably know by now, I am a HUGE Qdoba fan! One of my good friends and I eat there together for lunch at least once a week and I swear that one of my daughter's first words was "Doba" haha! They have excellent food and an excellent loyalty card program which has provided me with countless free burritos over the past few years!

Seattle area locations are offering a free kid's meal with the purchase of any entree this weekend from 7/3 to 7/5! It is for kids under 12 and the entree must be purchased by an adult. No coupon necessary! Other locations may be participating but it is always a good idea to call your restaurant ahead of time to double check if you are making a special trip.

Oh and if you want to get your own Qdoba card, which I highly recommend, pick up a card at the restaurant, register at home and next time you go in you will get free chips and salsa! Plus every 11th entree is free and you will receive periodic BOGO offers throughout the year!
